Having health and fitness motivation is harder than just about anything. Why? Because the rewards are not immediate and let’s face it… there is an immediate gratification for being unhealthy.
The reward of sitting on my couch and eating a carton of ice cream is right now. I get to eat something that taste good and relax. The consequences however, aren’t seen until later.

1. FITNESS MOTIVATION NEEDS FITNESS MOTIVATORS
Just like Bryce talks about in the video, he used to believe in his self doubt, that “I can’t ever be fit”. We’ve all been there. We do a grueling workout, eat healthy all… day… and when we look in the mirror, nothing has changed. It’s easy to take the evidence of one day, and say, all the days will be like that.
Not until he started talking to a trainer did he see the truth.

Because the truth is, the reward is immediate. It’s just too small to see. The future reward of being healthy and fit, looks like one big thing. In actuality, it’s a thousand small things, each piece added, with each day.
2. BE ENERGY FOR SOMEONE ELSE, AND LET SOMEONE ELSE BE ENERGY FOR YOU.
Bryce and I both have had times, recently even, when we just didn’t feel it. The motivation just didn’t come as naturally as it usually does for us. No matter who you are, how much personal energy you have… we all need someone else. Someone else to help, and be helped by.

It’s the most gratifying feeling to help people, it’s why Bryce and I are addicted to this profession. But I never lose site, that, on those days when I just don’t feel it… the thing that re-inspires me… is the remembrance of the people I’ve helped. They don’t even know how much, but by letting me, they’ve helped me too.
3. THE MASTER SOLUTION
This is a truth that transcends so many things, besides just fitness. You will absorb what you surround yourself with. Our skin absorbs what we let people put on it, our hearts do to. Personal Training, is Personal. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s to surround myself with like mind people. Not carbon copies of yourself who believe exactly what you do about everything. But people who have values rooted in them, that you have, and that you want more of. I suppose what I’m really saying is…
“SURROUND YOURSELF WITH LIKE HEARTED PEOPLE.”
After all, it’s the heart that matters most. The right kind of fitness motivation will keep your heart healthy… in more ways than one.
It’s just a matter of doing it.
